Mark is working in Washington Heights, Inwood, the Upper West Side, Riverdale, Marble Hill, and West Harlem to tackle critical issues like affordable housing, education, and mass transit. For the past decade and a half Mark has been a leader and an activist in our communities — a former public school teacher, founder of successful community development credit union, and executive director of a city-wide after-school initiative. Mark has launched his campaign for New York State Senate, 31st District, in order to advance a progressive agenda for our communities, and to be a voice for reform of a dysfunctional system in Albany.
